Riyadh - Mubasher: The market for beauty and personal care products in the Middle East and Africa, which currently totals $25.4 billion, is expected to grow by 6.4% per year, over the next five years.
Meanwhile, global growth for the sector is expected to be at 3% a year, according to a report by research firm Euromonitor International, Saudi Gazette has reported.
The UAE has a per capita beauty spend of around $289, making it the first in the region and the seventh in the world, exceeding the global average of $60.
A recent industry report stated that consumers spent $2.1 billion on beauty and personal care in 2016, and it is further expected to rise to $2.7 billion by 2020, the Saudi newspaper added.
